On the occasion of the official farewell of Mr. Van Lede, chairman of AkzoNobel and of the AkzoNobel Art Foundation, the catalogue Proof of Principle was published (340 pages, 220 colour prints) in 2003. Exploring such a book of photographs helps to provide insight into the different threads, themes and oeuvres of the AkzoNobel art collection (accompanied by texts by Dirk van Weelden, Martijn van Nieuwenhuizen, Pietje Tegenbosch and Hester Alberdingk Thijm).
