Focus of collection
The acquisition policy primarily focuses on work by Dutch artists and foreign artists with a strong link to the Netherlands.
Sponsoring and awards
Since 2004, the ABN AMRO Art Foundation annually funds the ABN AMRO Art Award, an incentive monetary prize awarded to a foreign artist who either lives or works in, or has some relationship with the Netherlands. The laureate’s work is exhibited and an accompanying monograph is published. Additionally, ABN AMRO purchases one work from this (public) exhibition to include in its own art collection.
