The collection is composed of two parts: one is historical, while the other consists of modern art.
The historical part relates to Aon’s history, ship brokerage, and entails historical art pieces, such as seascapes and old maps, but also scale models of ships, both antique and contemporary.
The collection of modern art consists largely of prints that were either purchased or donated. It also contains a number of paintings which various board members purchased over the years. The fact that these purchases were not made according to a particular policy has resulted in a selection of paintings by a diverse range of artists: from Arty Grimm, Charlotte Molenkamp and Anton Vrede to Kees van Bohemen and Wilma Kuil.
